Beed, Dec. 17 -- Three people were killed and two others sustained serious injuries in a head-on collision between a jeep and a car in Beed district of Maharashtra, police said.
The fatal accident occurred late on Monday night at around 10.30 pm at Bardapur crossroad on the Ambajogai-Latur highway.
According to police, a jeep travelling from Beed towards Latur collided head-on with a car coming from the opposite direction, resulting in a severe impact. All three occupants of the car died on the spot.
The deceased were identified as residents of Latur district. Two persons travelling in the jeep suffered serious injuries in the collision.
