Mumbai, June 24 -- Maharashtra Safai Karmachari Commission chairman Sher Singh Dagor issued stringent directives to Thane Municipal Corporation officials during a high-level review meeting on Monday, demanding immediate improvements to sanitation workers' welfare infrastructure.
Dagor emphasised that these frontline workers constitute "the fundamental pillar of urban cleanliness" and warrant priority access to essential facilities.
