Mumbai, March 19 -- The Shiv Sena (UBT) on Wednesday strongly criticised the Mahayuti government over recent violence in Nagpur saying that Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj created unity in Maharashtra but today, the state is divided and burning with religious hatred.
An editorial in the party mouthpiece 'Saamana' said that Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj's edict says that "if you find a copy of the Quran, return it with honour", however, there was a case of alleged burning verses from the Quran in Nagpur.
In Rajapur, an attempt was made to create riots by inserting Holi poles into a mosque, it said and pointed that firecrackers are bursting in Maharashtra in the name of Aurangzeb.
