Mumbai, June 11 -- The opposition Shiv Sena (UBT) staged a tractor rally in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar in Maharashtra on Wednesday to protest against the state's Mahayuti government's failure to fulfill key promises made to farmers, including a much-anticipated crop loan waiver.
The rally formed part of the ongoing week-long agitation titled "Kya Hua Tera Vaada" (What happened to your promise), aimed at exposing the BJP-led administration's unkept assurances ahead of last year's assembly elections.
The procession, led by Leader of Opposition in the Legislative Council, Ambadas Danve, began at Kranti Chowk and culminated at the Divisional Commissioner's office near Delhi Gate.
