Mumbai, April 23 -- Shiv Sena (UBT) leader and Rajya Sabha MP, Sanjay Raut, on Wednesday held the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)'s alleged "politics of hate" accountable for the recent terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, which left 28 people dead.

Speaking to reporters here, Raut squarely blamed Union Home Minister Amit Shah for what he described as a failure of national security and called for his immediate resignation.

"Amit Shah is a failed home minister in the history of this country. The entire nation is demanding his resignation. He does not deserve to remain in that position even for a day," Raut asserted.

The terror attack occurred at a prominent tourist site in Pahalgam, located in South Kashmir.
