Mumbai, Feb. 19 -- Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut on Wednesday took a jibe at the BJP alliance government in the state, saying that Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj never did politics of revenge, which is currently ongoing in Maharashtra.
He further said that Shivaji Maharaj did politics, but he never did politics of revenge. He took everyone along and established Hindavi Swarajya, he said.
There was democracy during Shivji Maharaj's time, which is referred to as 'Shivshahi', he noted.
Even though there were no elections, no Home Minister or no Election Commission, there was democracy," he observed.
