Mumbai, May 4 -- Former Uttar Pradesh Governor and former Union Minister Ram Naik resigned on Sunday from the post of chairman of Fisheries Development Policy Committee.

He was said to have stepped down from the post due to health reasons.

Naik submitted his resignation to Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, who has also accepted his resignation.

Naik was admitted to the hospital thrice for long periods since January 2025. Due to ill health, he decided to resign as the medical authorities have advised him complete rest. UNI SP SS
