Jalna, June 23 -- In a major setback for Shiv Sena (UBT) in Marathwada ahead of local bodies elections, Dr Sanjay Lakhe-Patil resigned from all party positions.
He said that he had left the Congress last year and joined Uddhav Thackeray's group after being promised a ticket from the Jalna constituency in the assembly elections, however, he was excluded at the last minute by party president Uddhav Thackeray, he alleged.
Lakhe-Patil further alleged that Thackeray group MP Sanjay Raut and UBT president did not allow him to contest due to their personal agenda.
He also criticised Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Ambadas Danve, alleging that he was deliberately excluded from the party.
He was constantly excluded from organisational work, he alleged.
