Mumbai, July 20 -- Maharashtra Postal Circle has recorded 122,000 waterproof Rakhi envelope sales and secured 85,000 advance bookings within just 72 hours of launching its annual festive service, with Mumbai accounting for nearly half of all transactions.

The specialised packaging, priced between ten and fifteen rupees, features monsoon-resistant designs that enable automated priority processing across India Post's 13,688-outlet statewide network.
