Ahilyanagar, Sept. 3 -- Maharashtra police arrested three accused with five pistols and nine live cartridges in Ahilyanagar district today, an officer said.
Acting on secret information that three people were coming to Srirampur via Haregaon Phata to sell Gavthi pistols, the local crime branch team went to Haregaon Phata and laid a trap.
After some time, the team stopped three people who were coming on a motorcycle. During their search, five Gavthi (Handmade) pistols and nine live cartridges were found in their possession.
The police have seized these items and a motorcycle worth about Rs 4 lakh 9 thousand from them.
