Mumbai, March 15 -- The city police have busted a major prostitution racket in the Powai area of Mumbai and rescued four aspiring actresses and arrested a senior citizen who was allegedly operating it, an official said here on Saturday.

According to details, the Powai police raided a hotel in Hiranandani locality on receipt of confidential information and arrested 60-year-old Shyamsundar Arora. Four models were rescued and sent to a shelter home.

The Powai police bust the racket by sending a dummy customer and took the suspect into custody.

Police have confiscated eight mobile phones along with Rs three lakh in cash.

Another individual is being pursued as a suspect.
