Nagpur, Oct. 19 -- A pedestrian was killed on the spot early Sunday morning after being struck by a Nano car on National Highway 44 near Wagholi village in Parshewani tehsil of Maharashtra's Nagpur district, police said.

The victim, identified as Kishore Haribhau Umade (38), a resident of Wagholi, was reportedly on a morning walk when the accident took place between 5:00 and 6:00 a.m.

According to police, the car hit Umade with such force that his body became trapped underneath the vehicle.

Police and local residents faced significant difficulty in retrieving the body due to the severity of the impact.
