Mumbai, March 10 -- Deputy Chief and Finance Minister Ajit Pawar on Monday tabled a Rs 1,36,235 crore
fiscal deficit budget for the financial year 2025-26 in the Maharashtra Assembly, saying that the government has been
successful in keeping the fiscal deficit below three percent of the gross state income under the Fiscal
Responsibility and Financial Management Act.
The minister said that the fiscal deficit for the financial year 2025-26 was Rs 1,36,235 crore, while the state's
revenue deficit has also consistently remained below one percent of the gross state income.
