Ch. Sambhajinagar, Sept. 10 -- Various social organisations as well as the Congress, Nationalist Congress Party and Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray group) came together at Kranti Chowk today to strongly oppose the Public Safety Bill 2024 introduced by the Maharashtra government, alleging that it is an obstacle to democracy and a threat to the fundamental rights of citizens.

The protesting parties asserted that the bill will give the government and administration more powers to arrest and repress citizens, potentially being used as a tool to pressure social activists and democratic struggles.
