Mumbai, April 24 -- Mumbai, the financial capital of the country, was put on an alert following the terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir's Pahalgam, which killed 28 people.
The coastal areas and all beaches around Mumbai have been put on alert, officials said here on Thursday.
Patrolling was intensified across the city, with surprise checks being conducted through the midnight, police sources said and informed that the move is a precautionary step aimed at tightening coastal surveillance and preventing any spillover risks in the aftermath of the attack, the worst since the Pulwama attack in 2019.
