Pune, May 25 -- MLA Hemant Rasane on Sunday wrote a letter to Maharashtra Chief Minister and Home Minister Devendra Fadnavis demanding for one Cyber Police station in each of the five zones in city.

In the letter, he wrote that considering rising number of cyber crimes and pending cases, the exisiting single Cyber Police station in Pune is insufficient.

After exposure of a fake call centre at Kharadi here recently, he expressed that increasing incidents of cyber crimes in city have taken a serious turn.

In the last three years, the number of cyber crimes has gone up from 10,692 in the year 2022 to 12,954 in 2024, he added. UNI SP SS
