Mumbai, Feb. 20 -- Maharashtra Food Minister Dhananjay Munde admitted on Thursday that he cannot speak properly due to the Bell's Palsy disease.

Taking to social media X, he stated that "I had surgery on both my eyes 15 days ago. These surgeries were done under the guidance of Padmashree Dr T P Lahane. For approximately 10 days, they have advised me to take care of eye care especially from intense light, dust and sun."

"Meanwhile, I was diagnosed with a disease called Bell's Palsy. I am currently being treated at Reliance Hospital under the guidance of Dr Arun Shah. I cannot speak properly for two minutes right now due to this disease. So, I am not able to attend one or two Cabinet meetings and party's Janata Darbar programme."
