Sangli, March 16 -- Maharashtra and District Guardian Minister, Chandrakant Patil, asserted on Sunday that efforts be made to make public and personal transport run on ethanol, electric and CNG sources on a large scale.
Speaking after laying the foundation stone for construction and electrification work of e-bus service depot in Miraj town of the district, he said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has considered many environmentally friendly issues while developing the country.
For conservation of environment, all government offices should be powered by solar energy for which the state government provides subsidies, he added.
