Pune, June 28 -- Maharashtra Tribal Development Minister Dr Ashok Uike today directed administration to bring Pune district to the first position in the state by effectively implementing the PM Dharti Aaba Tribal Village Upliftment Mission in the district to provide benefits of the public welfare schemes to the people.
Presiding over a review meeting held at the collectorate here, he said that considering the contribution of tribals to a developed India, the Dharti Aaba Janajati Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan is being implemented till June 30 for their empowerment.
The aim is to implement 25 schemes under this campaign through 17 departments, he informed.
