Mumbai, May 29 -- Maharashtra Minister for Disability Welfare, Atul Save, on Thursday directed officials to implement a special campaign for the survey and distribution of certificates to the disabled.
While reviewing functioning of his department at Mantralaya here, he said that due to lack of disability
certificates, difficulties arise in accessing government schemes, various concessions, education, jobs and health facilities for the disabled.
The minister said that in order to make the disabled self-reliant, self-employment opportunities will be provided through the department, and a separate policy will be prepared for the employment of the disabled.
