Mumbai, April 19 -- In a significant development in NCP leader Baba Siddique murder case, a special Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA) court here on Saturday allowed slain leader's wife, Shehzeen Siddique, to intervene in the proceedings of the case.

Shehzeen Siddique had filed an intervention application last month before special Judge B D Shelke, stating that she has suffered an "irreparable loss" and stressed the necessity of presenting the "true and correct facts" to the court.

In her plea, she also said that the accused carried out a pre-meditated killing and the murder caused physical and emotional harm and urged the court to give due consideration to several important aspects of the case.
