Nashik, Feb. 4 -- As part of the grand preparations for Mahakumbh 2026 in city, ten major Akharas-Juna, Avahan, Agni, Niranjani, and Anand-performed a joint land puja in Trimbakeshwar temple town of the district today.
This is the first time that so many Akharas have performed a land puja together. The land puja began at the auspicious time of 2:30 AM. Vedic scholars performed the ritual with the chanting of Vedic mantras. On this occasion, coconuts were broken to purify the land for the construction of the camps.
