Mumbai, April 5 -- Stand-up comedian Kunal Kamra, currently facing backlash over his alleged controversial comments about Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, on Saturday failed to appear third time before city police who want to question him in multiple cases registered against him in connection with his controversial statement against Shinde.
According to police, Kamra, who lives in Puducherry, was asked to remain present before the Khar police by 11 am today on April five.
The Khar police booked Kamra on a complaint by Shiv Sena MLA Murji Patel.
Kamra secured an interim anticipatory bail in the matter till April seven from Madras High Court but was expected to join the inquiry earlier this week.
