Kolhapur, March 6 -- Ahead of Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis' visit to historic Panhala Fort in the district this evening, the district police on Thursday detained leaders and office-bearers of opposition INDIA front, who had warned of staging a black flag agitation before Fadnavis for their demand of immediate arrest of Prashant Koratkar for allegedly threatening historian Indrajeet Sawant.

District police swung into action in the morning and detained Shiv Sena (UBT) city organiser Harshal Surve, Sanjay Pawar, Congress party's city leaders and Maratha community leader Vasantrao Mulik and many other activists of INDIA front to foil their proposed agitation against Fadnavis.
