Bhandara, Oct. 17 -- The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) today arrested a junior assistant of the Maharashtra State Khadi Gramodyog Board in Bhandara for allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 15,000.
The accused, identified as Ratnaghosh Rishiji Humne, was posted at the board's district office.
According to the ACB, the complainant's wife had applied for a loan under the Chief Minister's Employment Generation Programme (CMEGP) to procure a concrete mixer machine. A loan amounting to Rs 19.5 lakh had been sanctioned under the scheme, which includes a government subsidy component of approximately Rs 7 lakh (35 percent).
