Pune, May 3 -- India Against Corruption (IAC) national president Hemant Patil on Saturday requested BCCI to not take any action against cricketer Vaibhav Suryavanshi based on a baseless complaint.
In a press release here, he said that attempts are being made to drag Vaibhav Suryavanshi, who set a record while playing for Rajasthan Royals in the IPL at the age of just 14, into a controversy.
He said that Vaibhav had scored a century in 35 balls while playing against Gujarat Titans. It was later claimed that a cricketer of such a young age cannot hit a six of 90-90 meters. However, Vaibhav was not found unsuitable in the age test in the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI)'s age group cricket, he said.
