Kolhapur, July 26 -- District police arrested a head clerk working in the superintendent's police headquarters and booked a woman constable for accepting a bribe of Rs 30,000 from a police constable for an inter-district transfer.
According to Shahupuri police, a head clerk, Santosh Maruti Pankar of Kasba Bavda, working in the superintendent of police headquarters office in Kasba Bavda, a suburb of the city, accepted Rs 30,000 bribe amount, which was transferred online on 23 July, from a constable, who was identified as Ritesh Manohar Dhahale, for an inter-district transfer.
After registering a complaint by Dhahale, Shahupuri police arrested head clerk Pankar while booking lady constable Dhanashri Uday Jagtap, a mastermind behind this.
