Amravati, Nov. 13 -- In a shocking incident during a wedding ceremony in Maharashtra's Amravati district, the groom was attacked on stage with a knife, police said on Thursday.
The accused, identified as Raghav Jitendra Bakshi, along with a minor accomplice, has been arrested by the Badnera police.
According to police officials, the attack occurred on the night of November 11, as the groom, Sujal Samudre, was standing on the stage. Bakshi suddenly climbed the stage and assaulted Samudre, leaving him seriously injured.
Guests at the wedding reportedly panicked as the incident unfolded.
Following the attack, both accused fled the scene.
Badnera Police Station registered a case and launched an immediate investigation.
