Thane, Sept. 9 -- The Rashtriya Bal Swasthya Karyakram, which operates under the motto of "A healthy childhood makes a bright future", has brought new hope to hundreds of children in Thane district by providing free medical treatment.
In the last five years, 697 children have undergone free heart surgery, while 4,682 children have received surgery for other diseases, all at no cost to their families. These efforts include health checkups and free treatments conducted from Anganwadis to schools, helping to improve the lives of many, a release said.
