Latur, Aug. 16 -- The Latur District Disaster Management Authority issued an alert for villages along the Manjara, Terna, and Tawarja rivers as dams in the district near full capacity due to increased rainfall in catchment areas. According to officials, water storage at Manjara dam has reached 70 per cent, Lower Terna Dam 88 per cent, and the Tawarja medium project in Ausa taluka 73 per cent, with substantial inflows continuing. Authorities anticipate these dams may reach full capacity soon, necessitating water release into the river basins.
