Mumbai, April 27 -- Mumbai Police has registered an FIR (first information report) against nine BJP workers, including Akshata Tendulkar, president of the Mahim assembly constituency, for allegedly abusing and assaulting hawkers of a particular community at the Dadar market in central Mumbai, officials said here on Sunday.
According to reports, the incident occurred on Thursday evening near the busy Rangoli store in Dadar.
Complainant alleged that Ms Tendulkar and her associates approached hawkers in the area and began questioning them about their religion and after learning that they belong to a particular community, they allegedly abused and assaulted them.
