Nashik, Jan. 5 -- Becoming aggressive over pending payment for their onions, angry farmers today attempted to throw onions at NAFED officials, while some farmers staged a sit-in protest directly in the officials' offices.
The farmers alleged that NAFED had promised to buy the onions and pay within 72 hours, but even after six months, they have not received a single rupee.
