Pune, April 3 -- By leveraging advanced ethanol production technologies, utilising existing machinery and adopting grain-based modules, sugar mills can ensure year-round operations, thereby significantly enhancing their efficiency and profitability, said Rajesh Tope, a veteran cooperative leader and former minister of Maharashtra.

Speaking at a workshop organised recently by Praj Industries, he emphasised on importance of water-saving and steam-saving technologies.

This addition can boost revenue margins by Rs 300-Rs 400 per tonne of cane crushed, making it a transformative step for the sector, he added. UNI SP SS
