Mumbai, May 28 -- Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde on Wednesday inspected the IT security system installed in the 'smart buses' operated by ST Corporation between Thane and Nagpur in Thane. Speaking on the occasion, he said that the safety of common passengers travelling in State Transport Corporation buses is topmost priority of the government. For this, these new buses will be safer for travel as an AI technology-based integrated security systems will be installed in smart buses, he informed. Along with CCTV cameras that monitor the movement of passengers sitting in the bus, the driver's driving style, WiFi, LED screens, GPS system and foam-based fire prevention systems will also be installed in these buses, he said.
