Mumbai, May 14 -- A special court has rejected a plea of an accused in the Aurangabad arms haul case seeking temporary bail to him to attend his mother's final rites while observing that one has to be 'equally emotional for the motherland', according to the copy of the order which was made available on Wednesday.
Mustafa Mehmoodiya, who is facing a separate trial before a court in Mumbai, has languished in jail since 2007. His case was separated after he first turned approver against other accused and then went hostile.
