Pune, May 15 -- Maharashtra Congress spokesperson Gopaldada Tiwari on Thursday lashed out at the ruling BJP over its attempt to hijack the valour of the Indian Army, alleging that it is eager to take political credit for the Army's 'Operation Sindoor' and for taking out the Tiranga rally across the state to celebrate victory.

Talking to reporters here, he said that in Pakistan's treacherous warlike attack, some places of worship and buildings were damaged, 14-15 Indian civilians were killed and 50-60 people were injured.

They (BJP) should have at least remembered that out of eight martyred soldiers of the Indian Army, seven were from Maharashtra and they should have given a serious thought to it, he said.
