Mumbai, Jan. 27 -- In the backdrop of the proposed Long March organized by the All India Kisan Sabha, a delegation of their representatives today met Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis at his official Varsha bungalow, who assured of implementing all the demands accepted by his cabinet colleagues.

He also assured continuous follow-up at the ministerial level to ensure there are no shortcomings in the implementation.

The Kisan Sabha has proposed Long March to press for their various demands such as the implementation of the Forest Rights Act, utilization of water flowing into the sea for local communities and drought-prone areas of Maharashtra, and commencement of PESA recruitment to provide employment.
