Chandrapur, Dec. 20 -- An alleged international kidney trafficking racket with links to Cambodia has come to light following statements by a victim farmer from Chandrapur district of Maharashtra , police sources said.
Roshan Kule (36), a resident of Minthur village in Nagbhid taluka, has claimed that kidneys of at least six Indian nationals and seven to eight Bangladeshi nationals were surgically removed in Cambodia and sold for about Rs 8 lakh each.
According to Kule, those taken abroad belonged to economically distressed backgrounds and were lured through intermediaries.
Kule stated that the group travelled to Cambodia via Kolkata, allegedly arranged by a person identified as Dr. Krishna from Kolkata.
