Mumbai, April 17 -- The Central Railway has announced temporary restrictions on the sale of platform tickets at key Mumbai stations during the summer vacation, officials said here on Thursday.

The initiative aims to ease congestion and ensure smooth movement on platforms during the upcoming summer vacation.

The restriction on the sale of platform tickets starts from April 18 to May 15. official further said.

The affected stations include Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT), Lokmanya Tilak Terminus (LTT), and Kalyan.

The decision was officially announced via a post on X (formerly Twitter) by the Central Railway's Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) Mumbai account (@drmmumbaicr).
