Pune, June 18 -- The Central Railway (CR) has successfully completed the doubling of the Shindawane-Ambale Ghat section, marking a major milestone in the ongoing Pune-Miraj doubling project.
This 9.45 km stretch is widely regarded as the most challenging segment of the entire corridor due to its difficult terrain and complex engineering requirements.
With this, the doubling of the important section of Pune-Satara is now complete.
The Shindawane-Ambale section was commissioned following the inspection by the Commissioner of Railway Safety.
With the completion of this section, a total of 258 km out of 279 km of the Pune-Miraj doubling project has now been commissioned.
