Raigad, July 26 -- The tragic incident has been reported from the Raigad district, where a boat has sunk near Khanderi Fort today.
The boat had gone into the sea for fishing today. There were a total of 8 people on board. The accident occurred when the boat capsized due to strong waves during low tide.
Out of the 8 people, 5 have been rescued and are receiving treatment at a hospital. However, 3 people are still missing, and a search operation is ongoing by the administration.
It is reported that heavy rainfall is hindering the rescue operation.
Heavy rains are lashing across the state, including the Mumbai, Thane, Palghar, Ratnagiri, Sindhudurg, and Raigad districts.
