Mumbai, Oct. 1 -- The Bharatiya Janata Party today severely criticised the Shiv Sena (UBT) group, with Media Cell Chief Navnath Ban accusing them of betraying voters by abandoning the ideology of the revered Balasaheb Thackeray to ally with the Congress.

Ban claimed that the UBT's Dussehra rally has become a 'Forgetful Gathering', having abandoned the fiery Hindutva ideology traditionally associated with the event started by Balasaheb.

Speaking at a press conference at the BJP state office, Ban mocked Uddhav Thackeray as the "emperor of barbs" whose unnecessary attacks hurt ordinary people, labelling the event instead as a 'Slip Gathering'.
