Nagpur, Jan. 27 -- : The women's wing of the Nagpur BJP today demanded legal action against singer Anjali Bharti for allegedly making derogatory comments about Amruta Fadnavis, wife of Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.
Anjali Bharti, a Buddhist singer, recently drew widespread attention after making highly controversial and objectionable remarks about Amruta Fadnavis.
The comments were reportedly made during a programme held in Bhandara district on January 14.
Known as a "rebel singer" and a "Bhim singer", Bharti primarily performs songs inspired by Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar's ideology, popularly referred to as "Bhim Geete".
