Mumbai, April 16 -- The BJP on Wednesday strongly opposed the Congress' agitation over National Herald's property, terming the agitation as 'illegal' and claimed that their agitation was for grabbing National Herald's property.
Talking to reporters here, senior BJP leader and former Union minister Raosaheb Danve said the Congress has the right to protest but it does not have the right to loot anyone's land and funds, he claimed.
While presenting the reality of National Herald case, he recalled that this newspaper and the related company, which was started by 5,000 freedom fighters in 1937 with a noble purpose, were never owned by the Nehru and Gandhi families.
