Mumbai, June 14 -- Prahar organisation president Bachchu Kadu ended his seven-day hunger strike on Saturday following an assurance from the Maharashtra government on his demand of loan waiver for farmers.

Bachchu Kadu had been protesting for a week in Amravati, demanding a farmer loan waiver along with solutions for various issues faced by disabled persons and other related demands.

Industry Minister Uday Samant met Bachchu Kadu at Gurukunj Mozri in Amravati district and assured him that the state government has taken a significant step regarding the long-pending issue of farmers loan waiver.
