Nashik, Feb. 2 -- Following the tragic death of Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister and NCP (AP) president Ajit Pawar in a plane crash near Baramati last week, his ashes were immersed in Godavari river here today.
Before the immersion ceremony, an all-party condolence meeting was organized at the Kalidas Kala Mandir.
Senior NCP leader Chhagan Bhujbal had brought Ajit Pawar's ashes to Nashik. After a ritualistic puja on the banks of the Godavari river, the ashes were immersed at Ramkund here.
