Ch. Sambhajinagar, Aug. 26 -- The Maharashtra government has sanctioned an additional 20 percent grant enhancement for private unaided and partially9aided schools across the state.

The decision will benefit over 52,000 teaching and non-teaching staff members.

The move was approved during the state cabinet meeting held on July 17, 2025. It supersedes the earlier government resolution dated October 14, 2024.

The revised grant scheme will cover 6,075 schools and their sections. The estimated annual expenditure is Rs 970.42 crore, effective from August 1, 2025.

This is in accordance with the government resolution issued by the School Education and Sports Department.
