Washim, Feb. 19 -- A major case of mass copying has come to light during the ongoing Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) examinations in Maharashtra's Washim district, leading to action against 26 college staff members, officials confirmed on Thursday.
The incident surfaced after a flying squad conducted a surprise inspection on February 16 during the Physics paper at Shri Mainagiri Maharaj Junior College.
According to officials, the inspection revealed that as many as 581 students were allegedly involved in copying at the examination centre.
Following the findings, cases have been registered against 26 staffers who were on duty at the centre during the examination.
