Mumbai, Nov. 18 -- Barring Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde himself, all his party ministers boycotted Tuesday's state cabinet meeting, expressing strong displeasure over the alleged unfair distribution of government funds.

Interestingly, most Shinde faction ministers were present at Mantralaya, the state secretariat, during the scheduled time of the cabinet meeting and met separately with Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis to present their grievances. Details of this discussion have not yet been disclosed.

The weekly cabinet meeting was expected to hold key discussions and possible announcements regarding relief measures for crisis-hit farmers. However, the boycott by the Shinde group ministers overshadowed the agenda.
