Solapur, Dec. 7 -- A woman has been booked by police at Solapur in Maharashtra, for allegedly forcing three children to beg.
The action followed a routine patrol by the Damini squad, which spotted the woman with the children at an intersection and intervened.
During questioning, the woman identified herself as Jaitabai Mahadev Pawar, 40, a resident of Pardhi Vasti, Juna Bijapur Naka. She was taken into custody and later produced before the Child Welfare Committee for further legal proceedings.
The three children found with her were placed under protective care and shifted to a children's home.
